911

Do you remember where you were on 9/11?

Chances are, you’ll never forget.

Now you may be wondering how this relates to keeping your family safe online.

And the truth is…

The internet is not a safe place.

According to NBC, nearly half of American adults get hacked every year.

Government spying is worse than ever.

And one in five US teens report they’ve received unwanted sexual solicitation on the web.

If your family are the victims of a hack, being spied on or worse – you won’t forget where you were when it happens.

Fortunately, there’s something you can do to prevent that ever happening.

You as a parent have the power to protect yourself, your kids and keep your family safe online.

There'e one tool you can use to protect your family online that millions of people are using in 2018.

I created this website to share this tool with you and help get you started, right now.

VPN: The Simple Tool That Protects You & Your Family Online

vpn-example

VPN protects your internet connection by adding an extra layer of security.

Instead of connecting to the internet directly, a VPN connects you through another location.

This connection happens through what's called an "encrypted tunnel", meaning nobody can track what you're doing. So you stay completely anonymous and secure.

10 Reasons You Need To Get a VPN Right Now

There's a ton of reasons to use a VPN. Security, anonymity and privacy are the main ones. But there's more benefits you may not have known. I've narrowed it down to an easy to read list of 10.

Skim through it below. I guarantee you'll be convinced by the end if you're not already.

1) Keep Your Family Safe Online

Nothing matters more in life than your family.

Whether you're a father, mother or son - you can take the action you need to keep your family safe today.

The internet is a dangerous place. With millions of cyber attacks a day, invasive government spying and hackers trying to steal your identity - you need to stay safe.

A VPN keeps your family safe. It adds an extra layer of security over everything you do online and safeguards your family from the many dangers we all face online.

2) Stop Your Internet Provider from Spying On You

Nobody likes being spied on. The dirty truth is... your internet provider logs everything you do. From the websites you visited, the shows you downloaded to the emails you sent.

When you use a VPN, you're blocking your internet provider from spying on you.

3) Use Public Wi-Fi Without Any Risk

If you're like me, you love free stuff. The only problem with free wifi is how unsafe it is.

Anytime you connect to public wifi at a coffee shop, hotel or airport, you're giving hackers the opportunity to spy on everything you do.

From bank logins, to emails and passwords and more. All it takes is one bad person to intercept your data and do massive damage.

That's where the VPN comes in. A good VPN will protect you from these hackers by making it impossible for them to track what you're doing. You'll install your VPN as an app right on your phone.

4) Keep Hackers & The Government Out of Your Life

It feels weird to put hackers and government in the same category, but it's sadly accurate!

After the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden released shocking truths about mass surveillance in 2013, the topic of cyber security become widely discussed around the world.

It's a sad truth that nearly everything we do online is tracked, technically illegally by our governments.

It's your right as a free citizen to protect you and your family from unwanted surveillance.

A VPN basically puts a wall between the hackers or the government and you. It makes it nearly impossible to track your online activity, giving you the freedom of privacy you deserve.

5) Protect Yourself from Identity Theft

Identity theft is the number one threat to Americans online. There are millions of hackers around the world trying to steal your information for financial gain. If your identity is stolen it can disrupt your life to the point where your job, credit score and friendships are ruined.

VPN acts like a shield against identity theft. It adds an extra layer of security to prevent hackers having access to you and your family's information.

6) Watch Whatever You Want at School or Work

You know that feeling when you're at school or work and can't open up YouTube or your favorite site?

You won't have to feel that again after you start using a VPN! VPNs allow you to get around work and school restrictions on websites. So you can go back to browsing Reddit, YouTube or those forbidden pleasures in your free time. Just don't let your boss see you.

7) Access Blocked Videos From Anywhere

Tired of seeing these kinds of messages? You're not alone.

Fortunately you won't see them as much when you start using a VPN. Because VPNs let you connect through servers in dozens of countries, you can bypass these country restrictions easily!

Although some services like Netflix have begun trying to block VPNs, they still work with many services like Hulu, Pandora Radio, BBC iPlayer, YouTube and many more! Many of the main VPN services are even trying to get around the Netflix changes as well.

8) Bypass Government Censorship

More now than ever, governments around the world are trying to censor the internet. From SOPA and PIPA to full on blocks of websites in China, India, the UK and other countries.

The powers that be are trying to police what you can & cannot access to maintain their control over us.

VPNs are a great way to fight back against this censorship. With a VPN you can essentially get aroundany government imposed block. Great for those affected at home or those traveling to foreign countries where there's not as much freedom online.

9) Download Files Privately

If you're someone who likes to download shows or movies online, a VPN is needed!

VPNs allow you to download files privately and stay completely anonymous. Without using a VPN it's very possible your internet provider or government could send you a notice for downloading copyrighted files.

This has happened throughout many states in the US. Using a VPN decreases the chance of this happening to practically zero.

10) Because Privacy is Your Right

You and your family are free citizens with the right to privacy.

No matter how oppressive our governments become, we have the power to remain anonymous and protect ourselves from illegal spying and prying eyes. We have the power to defend ourselves against those who would rather censor information and control our thoughts.

Using a VPN is one of the smartest choices you can make in this cyber world we live in. To protect yourself from the many dangers of the internet and to exercise your god given right to privacy.

How do I use a VPN?

All you need to do is sign up for a VPN Service and install the app on your computer & phone.

If you're not tech savy, don't worry - it's simple. Anyone can set it up, whether you're 18, 32 or 65.

What's the catch?

Although your information is protected when using a VPN, the VPN itself could always be compromised.

This is why you should never use a VPN you don't trust.

For instance, free VPNs should typically not be used. They may not secure your information properly. The legitimate VPNs out there are very cheap. A few bucks a month to secure your family's security?

Worth it.

Frequently Asked Questions about VPNs

You probably have a few questions about VPNs you want answered. I made this list to answer them. Take a read below.

If you have a question you don't find the answer to, leave a comment at the bottom of the page and I'll get back to you ASAP!

"How Does a VPN Work?"

A VPN is basically a shield that protects you from those who want to spy on you and your family.

To get a little more technical, I'll explain it as basically as I can:

A VPN is a system where you connect to the internet through another physical location. This connection is done through a secure encrypted tunnel (meaning the connection is untraceable).

Because you're connecting to the internet through another location using the secure tunnel, you are completely anonymous. Websites do not see where you're visiting from. Your internet provider cannot see what you are doing. Hackers and the government have a much harder time spying on you.

"Is it Legal for Me To Use a VPN?"

In almost all countries, VPNs are legal. It is currently illegal to use one in Turkey, China, Iran, UAE, North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Russia. As long as you don't live in one of those countries, you're good to go.

Just keep in mind, although using a VPN is not illegal. Using a VPN to hide illegal activity like child pornograhpy, fraud or hacking is. As long as you use a VPN for lawful purposes, you don't have anything to worry about.

"Will a VPN slow down my Internet Speed?"

Any VPN will slow down your internet speed slightly, as it's adding an extra step to load anything online.

But this difference is not a big one. As long as you're using a good VPN, you will not notice much of a difference, if any. In some cases a VPN can even speed up your connection.

"Should I use a Free VPN?"

I would not recommend using any free VPN for one main reason:

Lack of security.

Some of the free VPNs out there force you to become what's known as a "peer". This basically means everyone using the VPN will go through your connection. This puts your security at risk as others will be using your connection for their activity.

The better free VPNs suffer from a major lack of speed and will slow down your connection to a hault.

You get what you pay for in a VPN. And the monthly cost is very cheap for what you get.

"Will a VPN get me American Netflix?"

In 2016 Netflix began a crack down on VPNs to stop people from using them with Netflix. Although they have been successful, VPN services are still trying to workaround their blocks.

As of June 2018, NordVPN does still work in getting US Netflix for now. But overall, I would not count on a VPN getting you American Netflix 100% of the time anymore.

But there is plenty of other blocked content you can access with a VPN.
